Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  

The training period for this position will take place onsite at our Rockford, IL facilities. The training duration will be approximately 18 months. Candidate will transition to our new facility in Spartanburg, SC.

Senior:  

Estimated annual base pay: $93,000 (minimum) - $121,000 (midpoint) - $149,000 (maximum)

Staff:

Estimated annual base pay: $113,000 (minimum) - $147,000 (midpoint) - $181,000 (maximum)

  • All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.

Senior:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support and Leadership: Manages engineering aspects of complex projects or leads specific project components. Mentors junior team members on project tasks and processes.

  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Resolves complex technical problems by applying advanced analytical techniques and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Best Practices and Design Standards: Develops and refines design strategies that align with company goals and industry standards. Leads efforts to standardize best practices across the team.

  • Design, Testing, and Analysis: Designs, tests, and analyzes high-complexity systems. Ensures alignment with department-wide quality, reliability, and maintainability standards.

  • Process Improvement: Identifies and implements process improvements with a measurable impact on team efficiency, quality, and cycle time.

  • Engineering Knowledge and Component Understanding: Advanced understanding of engineering principles and components. Applies knowledge to complex tasks and projects.

  • Project Support and Leadership: Oversees all engineering aspects of highly complex projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Serves as a mentor and trainer for engineers, technicians, and designers on advanced tasks and processes. May serve as a technical advisor.

  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identifies and resolves intricate technical problems within systems using comprehensive analytical methods and appropriate technologies.

  • Best Practices and Design Standards: Leads the development and implementation of advanced design standards and innovative engineering strategies. Proactively drives best practices across departments.

  • Design, Testing, and Analysis: Designs, tests, and analyzes high-complexity systems with site wide impact. Establishes department-wide standards for producibility, testability, maintainability, and reliability.

  • Process Improvement: Leads initiatives to optimize processes at a department level. Proposes and executes significant process improvements with organization-wide benefits.

Successful candidates typically have: 

Senior/Staff:

  • 4year Bachelors BS OR 10+ years equivalent experience
