POSITION SUMMARY 

Woodview's Brantford Autism Services is currently seeking a qualified, skilled and experienced individual to deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) based services both in-centre and community as part of our Brantford Autism Services team. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

(May Include but are not limited to) 

  • Instructor Therapists work one-to-one and in small groups with children and youth with autism. Service hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm with evening shifts from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm, as required. 
  • Working as a part of a team, the Instructor Therapist is responsible for implementing programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist.  The Instructor Therapist is responsible for keeping accurate data, graphing, and for preparing and creating materials for clients. 
  • The Instructor Therapist will provide quality and supportive programming, in addition to contributing to a positive and team-based working environment. 
  • The hourly Instructor Therapist position will be available to cover sessions for vacation and staff illness in addition to regularly scheduled sessions each week. 
  • The Instructor Therapist may support Woodview Mental Health Day Treatment and Respite programs as needed. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license in addition to insurance on your vehicle to transport clients is a requirement.  
  • Knowledge of the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis obtained by completion of the Autism and Behavioural Sciences certificate or equivalent.  
  • Minimum 6 months practical/applied experience in the field of ABA. 
  • Professional experience working with children with autism.  

 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Practical experience in collecting, graphing and analyzing data. 
  • Current certification in first aid, CPR, non-violent crisis prevention intervention (NVCI) is an asset.   
  • Experience providing parent coaching; running groups is an asset. 
  • French as second language is considered as an asset
