About this role

  • Receive, catalog, and process electronic survey data collected and delivered by field survey crews.
  • Import electronic survey data, process the data files, and ensure overall quality control in the preparation and delivery of survey base files to the Mapping Department or other relevant stakeholders.
  • Plot land instruments to create land base mosaics for generating search coordinates, aiding property corner searches by survey crews in the field.
  • Interact and communicate with field personnel to enhance the quality and timeliness of work output.
  • Develop stake-out packages for survey crews, ensuring the accurate layout of proposed pipeline and construction workspace based on project design data.
  • Conduct One Calls and manage tickets as required by clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential understanding of preliminary design and as-built surveying practices and techniques in the pipeline industry.
  • Proficiency with Trimble surveying software and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to provide technical support for complex pipeline projects.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for project success and contribute accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external partners and assess their needs and satisfaction.
  • Capability to gather information from various sources effectively.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects to meet quality and timeliness standards.
  • Aptitude in using mathematics to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of pipeline industry practices, particularly valuable for advanced positions.
  • Ability to navigate complex tasks and procedures, demonstrating analytical skills to assess situations and determine appropriate actions.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently, progressing on assigned projects even when details are incomplete.
  • Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of assigned projects.
  • Preferred qualifications include a two-year technical degree and at least two years of industry experience.
  • Placement at higher levels will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience.
