About this role

We are seeking a strategic Senior Financial Analyst with finance and business analytics experience to join our Strategy team. This role combines financial planning, marketing budget oversight, and performance analytics to drive profitable subscriber growth for our streaming platform. You will provide financial guidance on marketing investments, evaluate subscriber unit economics, and deliver ROI analysis that shapes how we allocate resources across channels as we launch and scale Wonder.

This is a unique opportunity to build the finance and strategy function at a mission-driven streaming platform from the ground up. Your financial models and investment recommendations will directly influence how we acquire and retain subscribers, optimize marketing spend, and scale Wonder profitably. You'll work closely with marketing, creative, finance, and executive teams, seeing the immediate impact of your analysis on real business decisions. Join a company where financial rigor meets purpose and help us prove that values-based content can captivate a global audience while building a sustainable, high-growth streaming business.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Strategic Analysis: Partner with marketing leadership to provide financial oversight and strategic analysis for a broad portfolio of brand-building initiatives, including community engagement programs, strategic partnerships, social media initiatives, and experiential marketing.

Streaming Metrics and Unit Economics: Own the financial modeling and ongoing analysis of subscriber economics including Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), payback periods, and cohort-based retention to guide marketing budget allocation, assess channel efficiency, and build business cases for strategic initiatives.

Marketing ROI Analysis: Measure and analyze marketing return on investment across all channels and initiatives by developing attribution models, performance benchmarks, and profitability assessments that translate performance data into actionable insights informing budget allocation and strategic decision-making.

Financial Modeling & Subscriber Forecasting: Build financial models to forecast subscriber growth, revenue projections, and retention economics, identifying trends that impact unit economics and informing strategic investment decisions to improve customer acquisition efficiency and reduce churn.

Content Investment Analysis: Evaluate the financial performance and ROI of content investments by analyzing viewership metrics, cost per hour viewed, and content-driven subscriber acquisition to inform future production and licensing budgets and assess P&L impact.

Audience Insights and Segmentation: Conduct financial and behavioral analyses on viewer demographics, preferences, and engagement patterns to identify high-value audience segments and inform content acquisition, marketing, and programming strategies that maximize LTV and minimize churn.

A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and analyze experiments related to content presentation, promotional strategies, and user experience to optimize subscriber acquisition costs, viewing engagement, and retention metrics with measurable financial impact.

Reporting and Visualization: Build comprehensive dashboards and reports for leadership and cross-functional teams, translating complex financial and performance data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making around CAC optimization, churn reduction, and marketing ROI.
