About this role

Wolters Kluwer, Compliance division offers our "Wiz" products which are a suite of compliance and data analytics software for financial institutions, focusing on lending regulations.

As a Lead Product Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor on the DXG team, supporting our suite of compliance solutions. In this role, you will apply your expertise in advanced software development, system design, and performance optimization to enhance product functionality, scalability, and overall user experience. Your leadership will drive high‑quality outcomes, foster technical innovation, and influence the architectural direction of complex initiatives. This position requires strong business acumen, deep architecture and design proficiency, and a proven track record of technical leadership on challenging projects.

You will report to the Associate Director, Product Software Engineering and work a hybrid schedule from our local office (2 days in office, 3 days remote).

Responsibilities:

  • Design Collaboration and Specification: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and define intricate design specifications and details.

  • Innovative Software Application Design: Lead the design and architecture of innovative software applications that align with business priorities for products based on web and client-server technologies.

  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand and resolve technical challenges.

  • Technical Requirements Documentation: Document highly technical specifications or requirements, providing clear guidelines for the development team.

  • Implementation: Implement business solutions and collaborate with offshore teams to deliver timely, quality results. Participate in HLD/LLD reviews, code reviews, and feature closure cycles.

  • Performance Optimization Expertise: Lead efforts to optimize software programs at a high level, achieving significant improvements in performance and efficiency.

  • Align Product Architecture: Work with Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams to align architecture with corporate policies and procedures.

  • High-level Technical Support: Offer advanced technical support for software maintenance, usage, and issue resolution, supporting other team members and stakeholders.

  • Resource Requirement Identification: Identify and assess information technology project resource requirements, including personnel and infrastructure.

  • Real-time System Monitoring: Implement advanced monitoring systems to ensure real-time performance evaluation and proper operation of computer systems.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field required. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus.

  • 8+ years of experience in software product development with progressive growth in leadership roles/responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to lead a team of onshore/offshore developers and collaborate within and across teams.

  • Proven experience in documenting technical commitments throughout the software development lifecycle, including providing specific project artifacts.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using core principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Proficiency in data modeling, object‑oriented design, and responsive UI design.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, Cosmos DB, T‑SQL, and JavaScript in both cloud and client‑server environments.

  • Hands‑on experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools to enhance developer productivity.

  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SSRS or Power BI.

  • Proficiency with modern UI frameworks, including Angular, Bootstrap, and jQuery.

  • Experience working with Azure services, such as App Services, Functions, and Service Bus.

  • Demonstrated ability to optimize application performance and meet non‑functional requirements.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and SAFe.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Some experience in agentic AI development.

  • Experience with microservice-based architecture.

  • Experience on cloud platforms like AWS, Google.

  • SSO using SAML / Ping Federate.

  • Azure Certifications, Microsoft Certifications.

Compensation:

$107,500.00 - $188,400.00 USD

 

This role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
