Advance your career as a Sr. Manager, Category Management supporting top Grocery Channel customers. Location is open as you will be managing 7 direct reports that are geographically dispersed. You will manage 5 Category Managers, 1 Associate Category Manager and a Temporary Student Support role. The ideal candidate must have the ability to overnight travel up to 25% of the time (may vary depending on location).

 

As part of a high-performing team, you will use analytics and thought leadership to execute category strategies in alignment with customer priorities. As a leader within the WK Kellogg Sales team you will have a high level of internal and external interaction and influence. You will also utilize sales data and customer insights to develop innovative solutions that drive growth within the Cereal Category.

This incumbent must have the ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Business Analytics – Knowing your business is imperative to driving results. You will proactively identify business insights through robust analytics of the category, consumer, shopper, market, and customer information. Your analytical skills will serve you well as you develop compelling and profitable business-building recommendations.

 

  • Customer Interaction – This position will involve a degree of customer interaction. You will develop your direct reports to provide objective category reviews that strive to achieve mutually beneficial sales and market share goals.

 

  • Strategic Partnerships – You will partner with commercial strategy, sales leadership, and the customer to broaden the understanding of the shopper, consumer, and market to drive thought leadership and develop joint business plans and strategies.

 

  •  Project and People Management – You will lead, and support customer-specific initiatives designed to deliver category growth. You will develop and present insights and solutions around product and placement.

 

  • Empower and Develop Talent – You will leverage the strengths of your direct report to overdeliver on customer expectations, all while fostering an inclusive, dynamic, and cross-functional experience that promotes team growth and education and contributes to a healthy and vibrant culture.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years of experience in a related field required.
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods focused on Category Management.
  • High-level analytic and storytelling capability.
  • Robust shopper and consumer insight experience and exposure.
  • High proficiency in using syndicated data (i.e. Nielsen, Circana), loyalty card data, and shopper panel metrics.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making capability, and a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to penetrate senior leadership level at the retailer.
  • Assimilating and interpreting data from multiple disparate data sources into concise action-oriented recommendations.
  • Experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated strong people management skills.

 

 

Compensation Insights:

 

Salary Range: $ 143,280.00 - $179,100.00

 

Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level.  Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
