INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

Interested in learning how safety, health, and environmental practices come to life in a real manufacturing environment? The WK Kellogg Summer Internship offers hands-on experience supporting programs that help protect people, communities, and the planet. This internship gives students meaningful exposure to EHS work while building practical skills through real-world application. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced EHS professionals, support key initiatives, and gain insight into how safety and sustainability are embedded into daily operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support the EHS team with day-to-day activities focused on workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee well-being.
  • Assist with safety inspections, audits, observations, and data collection across the site.
  • Help track, manage, and analyze EHS data, reports, and documentation within established systems.
  • Participate in incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support training initiatives, safety communications, and awareness programs for employees.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to help promote a strong safety culture.


WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • How EHS programs operate within a manufacturing environment and support overall business performance.
  • The fundamentals of workplace safety, environmental regulations, and risk management.
  • How to conduct audits, inspections, and data analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • How to communicate safety information clearly and effectively across different teams.
  • What it means to actively contribute to a culture where safety, compliance, and sustainability are priorities.


QUALIFICATIONS

This is a 4-month Summer 2026 student internship designed to provide hands-on experience within an Environment, Health, and Safety function.

At a Minimum:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education for the Fall 2026 term.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or international equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire, as of May 4, 2026.
  • Available to work full-time hours starting May 4, 2026 through September 5, 2026.


Preferred:

  • Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field aligned with EHS professions.


Salary Range: $22.00 per hour
