We’re seeking a  Finance Senior Manager, South Asia to join our finance team in Hyderabad, India! 

If you've got Financial Services experience in Statutory GAAP (iGAAP), Financial Reporting (IFRS/US GAAP), Controlling, Regulatory (FEMA), and Tax Compliance, and are eager to contribute as a Finance Business Partner leveraging your technical finance skills combined with Commercial Finance acumen for one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Compliance Oversight: Collaborate with the APAC Head of Finance, other Finance Managers, and Regional Controllers to ensure robust compliance with accounting, regulatory, and tax requirements in the South Asia region. Your expertise in local iGAAP (IFRS/US GAAP) will be crucial in guiding Wise's financial strategy and operations.

• Audit & Regulatory Management: Oversee local audits, manage relationships with outsourced firms, and ensure financial regulatory compliance across the South Asia region.

• Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Act as the primary Finance contact for the South Asia Regional Expansion, Banking, Compliance, Product, and People Teams. Ensure that new entities, products, and legislative changes are financially sound and optimized for growth.

• System & Process Optimization: Partner with the Finance Product team and Group Accounting to align systems, controls, and processes with regional needs, ensuring clarity and effective change management.

• Financial Reporting Accuracy: Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity for your assigned entities.

• You're an experienced finance professional with a background in financial controlling, audit, advisory, or management accounting, ideally within Banking, FinTech, or financial services.

• You possess a deep understanding of Statutory GAAP in India, IFRS, and US GAAP, strong accounting principles, and proven expertise in financial reporting, processes, and controls specific to India and the broader South Asia region.

• You are skilled in data analysis, adept at improving controls and internal processes, and capable of managing complex stakeholder groups (including the Board, Auditors, Advisors, and Government Authorities).

• As a finance business partner, you excel at providing commercial insights, supporting strategic decisions, and aligning with business strategy.

• You thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively with various teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.

• You are a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable with uncertainty, able to organize your work with minimal guidance.

This is a hybrid role based in Hyderabad, India, and is not a remote position.
