Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to join our API Experience team. You’ll lead and manage a team of engineers building the tooling and infrastructure that enables partners to securely integrate with Wise's API. This is a unique opportunity to shape the developer experience for major enterprise partners, directly impacting their success and accelerating Wise’s time to revenue.
You will guide your team to deliver a world-class developer experience built on three guiding principles:
Secure: Champion robust security measures like mTLS and JOSE to protect partner data and meet the stringent security requirements of banks and financial institutions.
Well-Tooled: Own the development of our self-service developer portal, streamlining processes for credential management and API monitoring.
Testable: Enhance our Sandbox environment to accurately mirror production, giving partners ultimate confidence before going live.
Qualifications
A bit about you:
You have proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineers. You enjoy helping others grow and succeed.
You have a strong product and customer mindset and experience building customer facing products.
You possess strong technical expertise or background in Java or similar languages and modern technology stacks
You have experience working with and building distributed, high scalability systems and microservices architectures
You're a great communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and have experience working effectively with cross-functional peers like designers, product managers, and analysts.
