Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage end-to-end billing operations as we transition from outsourced billing to an in-house workflow. This role is critical in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursements, and effective communication with insurance payers, patients, and internal team members. Experience with Tebra EHR and medical billing workflows is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review provider-submitted superbills for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with payer requirements
- Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner using Tebra EHR
- Track claims throughout the full revenue cycle, from submission to payment posting
- Follow up on claim denials, rejections, and underpayments, and communicate directly with insurance companies to resolve issues
- Prepare and coordinate patient statements through Inbox Health
- Collect and post patient payments related to statements and outstanding balances
- Maintain organized and accurate billing records, documentation, and audit trails
- Communicate billing updates, trends, and issues with the internal team
- Support and optimize the transition from outsourced billing to an in-house billing workflow, including process improvements and documentation
Required Experience & Skills
- At least 1 year of proven experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management
- Hands-on experience using Tebra EHR for claims submission and billing workflows
- Strong understanding of insurance claims, denials, EOBs, and payer follow-ups
- Experience with patient billing and payment collection, preferably using Inbox Health.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic requirements
- Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
- Must have relevant work experience
- Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
- Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
