Our client is a growing U.S.-based dermatology practice focused on delivering high-quality patient care through efficient clinical and administrative operations. They are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Billing Operations Specialist to provide critical backend administrative and billing support across two clinic locations.
This is a remote, full-time role that plays a key part in maintaining accurate revenue cycle operations. The position is heavily focused on insurance eligibility verification, payment posting, and full billing administration, with one clinic location requiring a higher billing volume than the other. The role involves daily use of the Prime Clinical EHR system to support both offices efficiently and accurately.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional—such as a medical assistant, nurse, or healthcare administrator—who is detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to transition into a long-term remote position. Phone answering is not required at this time, though it may be introduced in a future phase as operational needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform insurance eligibility verification to ensure accurate patient coverage prior to visits
- Handle payment posting and payment processing, including EOBs and ERAs
- Manage in-house billing administration for both clinic locations
- Provide backend administrative support across two offices with distinct billing workflows
- Access and use Prime Clinical EHR daily for both clinic locations
- Prioritize and manage billing workloads, especially for the higher-volume clinic
- Maintain high accuracy and organization to reduce billing and processing errors
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as the practice continues to grow
Critical & Non-Negotiable
- Healthcare or medical experience is mandatory
- Candidates without medical or clinical backgrounds will not be considered
Required Experience & Hard Skills
- Prior experience in the healthcare or medical field
- Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems, specifically Prime Clinical
- Hands-on experience with insurance eligibility verification
- Proven expertise in billing administration, payment posting, and payment processing
- Ability to manage workflows across multiple clinic locations simultaneously
- 2+ years of healthcare administrative experience

Basic requirements
- Must speak and write clear, professional English
- Must have relevant healthcare work experience
- Must be able to submit an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory)
- Must be available for video meetings with camera on when required
- Backgrounds such as medical assistants, nurses, or healthcare administrators are highly preferred
- Experience using the Signal App is a plus
