STOCK & PROCESS ADMINISTRATOR (HELP DESK – Day Shift) – Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre, Greenford
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our prestigious Sainsbury’s Distribution Centre in Greenford, West London. The site supports warehousing and distribution for Sainsbury’s “Local” stores across London and the Southwest.
This role operates within a busy office department on a 6am–2pm shift, Monday to Friday.
The Role
As a Stock & Process Administrator (Help Desk), you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations by supporting stores, liaising with departments on-site, and assisting with stock-related tasks. Responsibilities include:
- Reporting directly to the Stock & Inventory Team Manager and Stock Manager.
- Actively promoting and contributing to a strong “Safety First” culture across the site.
- Learning, using, and maintaining accurate information within the Red Prairie (Warehouse Management System).
- Handling inbound calls from stores regarding stock discrepancies, delivery issues, shortages, damages, and any operational queries.
- Providing clear and professional communication with all internal departments, including Transport, Warehouse, and Inventory.
- Keeping an up-to-date and well-organised log of calls, issues, resolutions, and follow‑up actions.
- Supporting general depot operational tasks, including stock checks, paperwork processing, and administrative support.
- Assisting with root‑cause analysis of stock issues where required.
- Completing any other reasonable ad hoc duties to support the wider team and ensure smooth depot operations.

- Strong customer service skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliability and flexibility, with willingness to support occasional weekend or holiday cover if required.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Good IT competency, including confidence with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Confident, professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders across the depot and store network.
- A positive attitude, calm under pressure, and able to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
