About this role

Duties

  • To support and manage of a team of up to 20 colleagues and to provide our store and customer network with a first-class service.

  • This Role will suit someone with the ability and aspiration to develop and progress to the next level of Shift Manager and should have a broad Knowledge of the operation as well as good people skills and is a strong Team Player.

  • Within this opportunity and the role, we are seeking Someone who will:

    • Support a Culture of Care driving improvements in Health and Safety and will hold regular meetings with their team to discuss and improve safety.

    • To track and ensure operational targets are met on a daily/weekly and monthly basis.

    • Proactively motivate teams by providing guidance and encouragement

    • Ensure management presence is on the floor and that they are effective in supporting and driving performance through process and that colleagues are working as trained.

    • Proactively encourage a positive and constructive relationship on site with the union and union representatives. 

    • Increase and improve communication with stores. 

    • Ensure that we comply with Customer Processes for Management, Operations, Systems and Admin. 

  • Proactively engage with all on-site teams through effective communication and handovers

  • Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function and department. 

 

Skills - Required

  • Management of health and safety

  • Knowledge of People Process

  • Knowledge of Red Prairie and CPM

  • Experience of Supervising / Managing a team 

  • Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines. 

  • A good communicator both verbal and written.

  • Excellent PC skills 

  • A flexible team-based approach
