Salary: Grade E6.5 (Full Time Equivalent £26,196)

Hours: 40 hours per week (32.5 hours EYFS Teaching Assistant plus 7.5 hours After School Club Leader), Monday to Friday, term time only

All about the role:

Pembroke Park Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant who will also take on the role of After School Club Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school day, supporting pupils both in the classroom and within our after-school provision.

During the school day, you will work as part of our Early Years team, supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

In addition, you will lead our After School Club each afternoon, providing a fun, safe and structured environment for pupils. This will include supervising children, planning and delivering a varied programme of activities, and making effective use of the resources already available.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years or primary setting
  • Has a good understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Is caring, patient and able to build positive relationships
  • Can plan and lead engaging activities for pupils
  • Is organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team
