ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Location: Melbourne CBD
- Full-time, 12-hour rotating shifts (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
- 24/7 availability
- Pay rate at Level 5
- Previous experience (Control Room Operator) in the security industry is essential.
- Qualifications: Security Licence with Control Room Operator & Monitoring Endorsement
- Clearances: AGSVA NV1
- Eligibility: Open to Australian Citizens only
Wilson Security is expanding in the VIC, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the region.
This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.
These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, patrol premises, and report suspicious
- activities.
- Support emergency situations by monitoring via CCTV and coordinating
- resources.
- Manage access controls, alarms, and fire monitoring, ensuring site compliance.
- Liaise with emergency services and police as needed.
- Maintain security and visitor logs, weapons registers, and lost/found item
- records.
- Prepare and input daily activity reports into the reporting system.
- Operate security software.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Provide support to on-floor security when required.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance
- Must have Control Room endorsement & Monitoring Centre Endorsement on security license
- Current valid Driver’s license (Have your own transport)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must have 24/7 flexibility to work a rotating roster – 12 hr shifts
- Excellent communication skills and Customer service experience
- Police checks and other background checks are also required
