<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>
<p>The Insurance Representative is responsible for managing insurance information for small commercial groups, direct groups and individual plans. This position also handles all facets of the process from initiation of member enrollment through termination, verification of eligibility, monthly billing, payment processing and reconciling discrepancies on a complex insurance software system.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Position Functions</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Resolve within 24 hours all administrative requests from both internal and external sources.</li>
<li>Research and resolve member eligibility questions from dental offices, brokers and company representatives.</li>
<li>Reconcile and resolve discrepancies between monthly billings and corresponding premiums received from large commercial groups, small to large direct groups, and the individual plans, and notifying customers of discrepancies between those premium payments and eligible members.</li>
<li>Provide outstanding customer service to our members by answering telephone calls or responding to emails.</li>
<li>Administer group and individual plans on a daily basis, prepare monthly billing premium statements as well as broker commission statements.</li>
<li>Use of insurance application system to record and resolve all customer inquiries, attach documents to groups, and work in a paperless environment.</li>

<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>

<p>The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. </p>
<p>This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.</p>

<p>Paid Time Off (PTO): Eligible employees will accrue a minimum of 120 PTO hours per employment year in addition to seven paid holidays annually. The Company’s PTO program combines vacation and sick leave, which is more generous than Washington State’s Sick Leave Law. <span data-teams="true">Employees in part-time roles working less than 40 hours per week will accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.</span></p>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>
<p>The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks.</p>
