About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Key Account Management—a member of the global Key Account Management team, is responsible for expanding and retaining a portfolio of high-value customer relationships within Wiley's Publishing and Audience Solutions divisions. The Senior Manager will execute strategies to both grow our Publishing Solutions partnerships and retain existing business with those partners, working collaboratively across key teams within Publishing Solutions.

The successful candidate will have experience working directly with publishing partners, and actioning sales and retention strategies.

How you will make an Impact:

  • In collaboration with Partner Success, Partner Operations, and Business Development teams—

o   Drive strategic revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to expand current customer adoption of Wiley's publishing software, consulting, and services.

o   Maintain responsibility for successfully renewing existing business across Publishing Solutions products, services, and offerings.

  • In concert with the Partner Success team—

o   Implement systematic approaches to account growth and retention developed by the Key Account Management Director; follow developed processes for account reviews, expansion opportunities, and renewal strategies.

o    Develop comprehensive account plans for portfolio of accounts that align with both customer needs and Wiley's business objectives.

  • Meet performance metrics, and signing and revenue targets, as defined by the Key Account Management Director and VP, Business Growth & Development
  • Collaborate regularly with Partner Success, Partner Operations, Product, Technology, and Delivery teams to ensure customer needs are met and to influence product roadmap decisions based on customer feedback and market opportunities.
  • Look for areas, via cross- and upsell opportunities, to expand our offerings to customers—including new offerings within Publishing and Audience Solutions, and new collaborations with other Wiley divisions (Learning, Books, Assessments, etc).

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or account management in publishing or content tech
  • Proven track record of closing $100k–$1m deals and meeting revenue goals
  • Deep knowledge of publishing industry trends and digital transformation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong industry network
  • Familiarity with digital content platforms and publishing technologies
  • Experience in Advanced Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel skills; solid grasp of publishing software
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to meet objectives
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with customers and colleagues, both virtually and in person

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
