We are building a new agricultural inputs marketplace in partnership with Piraeus Bank, and we're looking for a proactive Logistics Coordinator to ensure smooth delivery of orders across the platform. You will be the key problem-solver when it comes to transportation — working closely with customers, suppliers, and logistics providers to resolve delivery issues, handle complex shipments, and ensure that every order reaches its destination on time and without surprises. Responsibilities

Transportation Problem Resolution

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related issues from customers and suppliers

• Investigate and resolve delivery delays, damaged goods, lost shipments, and incorrect deliveries

• Communicate proactively with all parties to manage expectations and provide timely updates

• Document issues and resolutions to build a knowledge base for recurring problems

Logistics Provider Management

• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers, couriers, and freight companies to arrange shipments

• Negotiate solutions for complex or non-standard orders (oversized items, remote locations, time-sensitive deliveries)

• Monitor carrier performance and escalate service failures when necessary

• Identify and onboard new logistics partners as needed to expand delivery capabilities

Order Fulfillment Support

• Track shipments end-to-end and ensure delivery milestones are met

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure orders are dispatched correctly and on schedule

• Handle last-mile delivery challenges, particularly for rural or hard-to-reach agricultural areas

• Manage returns, replacements, and reshipments when delivery issues occur

Cost & Charge management

• Review and verify shipping charges, surcharges, and invoices from logistics providers

• Investigate and dispute unexpected or incorrect charges

• Work with finance to reconcile logistics costs and flag discrepancies

• Identify opportunities to optimize shipping costs without compromising service quality

Process Improvement

• Analyze logistics data to identify patterns in delivery issues and root causes

• Propose and implement process improvements to reduce delivery problems

• Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve logistics workflows on the platform

• Develop standard operating procedures for common logistics scenarios

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or customer service with a logistics focus

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure

• Excellent communication skills, able to coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers, and external partners

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up capabilities

• Familiarity with shipping processes, courier services, and freight logistics in Greece

• Proficiency in tracking tools, spreadsheets, and logistics software

• Fluent in Greek; English proficiency is a plus

• Willingness to handle urgent issues outside standard hours when critical deliveries are at stake

Nice to Have

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or B2B logistics

• Knowledge of agricultural supply chains or rural delivery challenges

• Experience negotiating with freight and courier companies

• Familiarity with ERP or order management systems
