About this role

Maintenance Technician Position Summary:

The person in this position is required to perform maintenance related duties in order to insure the proper operation and maintenance of assigned water or wastewater facilities.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences for Maintenance Technician:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Education or background in water and/or wastewater treatment or supporting technical field (Electrical/Plumbing/Mechanical).
  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred or 3 to 5 years in a regulated industry.
  • Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to water/wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting, operation and maintenance, hazardous material handling, storage or containment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals diagrams and equipment specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of MA Water/Wastewater regulatory requirements
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess a valid MA 2B Hoisting License or be capable of obtaining one within 6 months.
  • OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
  • Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
