Textiles Designer

We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Textiles Designer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and developing textile prints across all product categories.

Salary 90k + super per annum

Responsibilities

• Ability to interpret a design brief provided by internal stakeholders while adding their personal creativity
• Undertake the appropriate product / textile research in order to produce the requirements of the design brief
• Responsible for the creation of original textile prints
• Set up artworks for factory hand over via sketches, smaples, plans and models
• Liaise with design and production team on artwork, layout dimensions and colour selections
• Manage workload of multiple tasks on a daily basis from two different teams
• Internal brand and packaging development
• Create repeat and placement prints
• Print layering

• 5+ years experience in textile development
• Advanced skills working with Mac and the Adobe CS. Specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design
• Confidence to work in a stand alone position whilst managing own workload and deadlines
• Quick and efficient worker
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Eye for detail and current trends
• Excellent communication and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team　　
• Experience within the apparel / fashion business
