About this role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Principal / Network Security Consultant to join an established team providing BAU support and secure access services for external connectivity and network security operations.
This role is focused on External Links services, DNS, firewall technologies, and secure access, and requires a strong technical background combined with the ability to work independently in a production, enterprise-scale environment.

Responsibilities: 
    •    Provide BAU support for External Links services and standard secure access operations.
    •    Support and maintain DNS services in a production environment.
    •    Operate and support Next Generation Firewall solutions.
    •    Handle standard secure access builds and related operational tasks.
    •    Ensure stable, secure, and reliable network connectivity for external integrations.
    •    Work with defined operational processes and contribute to service continuity and improvement.
    •    Deliver assigned tasks independently while meeting time and workload expectations.

Requirements: 
    •    Very good knowledge of standard application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS).
    •    Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
    •    Networking and/or Security expertise at CCNP level or equivalent.
    •    Solid knowledge of the Linux operating system.
    •    Understanding of automation and scripting principles, ideally with Python.
    •    Experience with firewall technologies, including next-generation firewalls.
    •    Ability to work independently and under time and workload pressure.
    •    Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
    •    Process-oriented mindset with awareness of ITIL principles.
    •    Fluent spoken and written English is required.
