Landscape Architecture Intern

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to join our Landscape team in Fort Worth, TX.  Under the direct supervision of a Registered Landscape Architect, you will perform entry-level design tasks, project coordination, and assist in other Landscape Architecture tasks. Works cooperatively as part of a design team and with other professionals in engineering and survey to produce detailed construction drawings, exhibits, graphics, renderings and computations. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Expected start date: May/June 2026

Requirements

• Successfully performs basic design assignments on various projects as assigned.
• Maintains effective communications, both verbal and written, with other landscape team members, both in the location they are assigned and throughout the firm.
• Uses developed organizational skills to complete assignments efficiently and thoroughly.
• Learn Landscape Architecture and other software (AutoCAD/FX, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Effectively uses current computer-aided design and production software to maximize efficiency of production.
• Contributes to a positive environment and team approach for all assignments.
• Consistently uses the standards and procedures set in place.

Required Skills

• Ability to apply technical skills to meet project needs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related software
• Eager to learn and contribute to the current projects.
• Uses good time management methods and habits to meet schedule requirements.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail.

Required Experience

• Pursuing a Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning degree from an ABET-accredited college or University.
