About this role

Join Westpac as an Executive Manager, Divisional Compliance, providing senior second‑line compliance leadership across our Consumer and Customer & Corporate Services (CCS) divisions 

What’s the role?

In this role, you’ll lead divisional compliance oversight across Consumer and CCS, ensuring our retail banking products, services and customer processes meet regulatory requirements and align with the Group Compliance Framework. You’ll partner with senior leaders to provide strategic compliance advice, influence key decisions, and uplift capability across the divisions.

You will oversee compliance risk assessments, support regulatory and business change, and strengthen governance through high‑quality insights and reporting. You will also provide expert guidance on Consumer products and CCS operations while maintaining appropriate independence and challenge.

This permanent full‑time role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, placing you at the centre of compliance excellence for our Consumer and CCS businesses.

What do I need?

  • Extensive compliance leadership experience (10 plus years) in financial services, ideally across retail banking, consumer products or customer operations.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment impacting Consumer and CCS.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic compliance advice.
  • Experience managing regulatory change or compliance uplift programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong judgement and commercial acumen.
  • Collaborative, resilient and proactive leadership style with the ability to drive a strong compliance culture.
