What’s the role?

As a Business Development Manager, you will play an important role in delivering the bank’s growth strategy by identifying and converting new institutional customer acquisition opportunities.

You’ll be part of the Client Engagement Extended Leadership team, where you will showcase your leadership skills and make a meaningful contribution to the growth of our business and delivery of our strategic objectives.

This is a full-time, Sydney or Melbourne based opportunity to lead strategic business development within our Global Transaction Services business. The key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the entire sales lifecycle and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the relationship management team on strategic sales plans.
  • Create compelling pitch documents and presentations.
  • Design innovative client solutions using market-leading liquidity and payments capabilities.
  • Engage and build trust with senior client executives.
  • Maintain rigorous sales discipline and reporting.
  • Foster relationships with key external partners for joint business development initiatives.

 

What do I need?

You are an experienced, self-motivated Business Development or Client Manager with proven business sales capability. You will have: 

  • A strong track record of performance from previous sales roles.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and engage senior stakeholders across institutional clients.
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking and treasury solutions, with a passion for innovation and client impact.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and strategic approach to sales planning and execution.
  • Discipline in managing pipelines, reporting, and client engagement.
