Summary

The Senior HR Business Partner provides strategic partnership and consultancy to business leaders and units in our organization. Your role will involve offering expert guidance on HR matters, ensuring alignment with our company culture and practices to foster organizational success. On a daily basis, you will actively engage in a range of HR services, including promoting employee and leadership development, overseeing employee relations, delivering coaching and counseling, managing performance, and identifying training requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive leadership development, employee coaching, and performance management initiatives with effectiveness and impact.
  • Take proactive ownership of the strategic people agenda at the functional level, ensuring alignment with the overall group strategy. Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to senior leaders, providing guidance and support for mid to long-term planning.
  • Offer consultative guidance on performance management, talent management, leadership development, organizational alignment, culture, and employee engagement to support organizational effectiveness.
  • Address employee concerns timely, conduct and document employee investigations, partner with Legal and / or HR management on process and outcome.
  • Conduct client group trainings on policy / initiative rollouts, new manager assimilation, etc.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and make data-driven recommendations for HR strategies and interventions.
  • Compile and analyze HR data to create reports and dashboards for HR and business leaders, providing insights and recommendations based on the data.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, conduct audits, and provide guidance to managers and employees to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives, including policy development, HR system upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Assist with HR compliance activities, such as data reporting, auditing, and ensuring HR records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends to contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Promotes a positive Company image at every opportunity.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of HR Business Partner experience required.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership in a large organization preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for all audience levels of client group. Solid organizational skills with ability to handle multiple and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with strong Excel skills required (V-Lookups, Pivot tables, etc). Experience in an HRIS required, Workday experience is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Significant digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard is required. Use of oral communication to perform work is required.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an open office concept. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
