SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing sales support activities for global Polyethylene customer accounts in coordination with Customer Experience(CX) and Sales personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Works under the direction of the Supervisor and Lead – Sales Support but operates independently on a day-to-day basis in supporting CX and Sales personnel who directly interact with customers.
  • Assist Sales on Contract and NDA routing for Docusign execution.
  • Assist in new customer account set up, customer account maintenance and updates in Salesforce, SAP and other business systems.
  • Maintain accurate customer pricing in SAP and assist with any request regarding pricing.
  • Assist with setting up commission tables and payment for specific accounts.
  • Set up, review and maintenance of freight tables working with Sales and Logistics Personnel.
  • Set up and maintenance of customer rebates accrual.
  • Perform activities that support CX Reps to quickly process and confirm customer orders.
  • Issue all credits, debits, returns, and rebates for customers based on approved requests.
  • Perform account reconciliation by reviewing short pays and residual credits.
  • Work with Credit, Sales and CX team to maintain the aging report.
  • Partner with appropriate internal teams on account reconciliation to ensure an up-to-date customer account balance.
  • Active involvement and support of CX, Sales and Accounting to ensure a seamless end of month closing.
  • Participate in internal and external audit. Assist CX and Sales to ensure the business unit complies with SOX and ISO audit requirements.
  • Proactively improve data integrity in SAP and Salesforce by working with Master Data and Salesforce Admin to make appropriate changes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency in department.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.
  • Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with minimum 5 years of customer service/sales support and/or sales experience required. 
  • Candidate must be able to work autonomously without frequent direction.
  • Proficient at data gathering, analysis/evaluation, and efficient use of time. 
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills are required. 
  • Detail oriented, able to work in a pressured environment with rigid deadlines and be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and familiar with Salesforce, ERP, and CRM systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  10% travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
