JOB SUMMARY

Operates forklift to move, load, and unload material and pallets throughout the facility. .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies  
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility 
• Operate forklift within the safety guidelines. 
• Unload incoming material and pallets by placing it in the proper area. 
• Regulate shipping documents accordingly. 
• Verify counts and maintain load sheets. 
• Understand quality standards, equipment, and manufacturing processes. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES  

• Ability to use simple math and read tape measure accurately. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. 
• Prior forklift experience preferred. 
• Forklift certification 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

• Prolong sitting.  

• Complete repetitive movements such as typing.  

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable. 

• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection) when in plant. 

• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds. 

• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities. 
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders.  

• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
