About the role:

As a Technical Architect you will lead highly complex solution design evaluations and analyses of technical applications and services across multiple disciplines/functions. Leading teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational / department level tactical responsibilities.

Provide architectural guidance on all technology strategy matters and collaborate with other technical teams in the exchange and transfer of technical knowledge. Participate in the development and evolution of architecture standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and the IT Technology Roadmap. Subject matter expert in multiple technology domains.

You will report to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and be located at Cranberry Township, PA. The role is hybrid (3 days in office and two remote).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultation in one or more areas for designing technical products and systems.

• Set technology direction and establish standards.

• Design secure and resilient technology architectures that meet all the current and anticipated future IT requirements of the organization.

• Produce and keep up to date all IT design, architectural, policy and specification documentation.

• Translate reference architectures into physical designs, taking account of our requirements, target environments, processes, performance requirements, existing systems and services, and any potential safety-related aspects.

• Create IT design policies, philosophies, and criteria that cover all areas. These areas include connectivity, capacity, interfaces, security, resilience, recovery, access, and remote access. Moreover, ensure that all new services meet their service levels and targets.

• I propose design enhancements to IT infrastructure, capacity changes, continuity, backup, and recovery arrangements as required. I am also aware of operational requirements, especially in terms of service levels, availability, response times, and security.

• Responsible for all Solution Architecture activities that take place during requirements gathering solution ideation, process mapping, solution design, development, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, related technical discipline, or equivalent.

• Professional Level Certification in technical area of competency (CCIE, MCSE, MCSD, CISSP)

• Recognized as technical expert and resource.

• Demonstrate expertise in multiple fields and procedures.

• Oversee technical leadership of projects. Have expert knowledge in a specialized area.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
