As a Project Controls Specialist, you will support all aspects of project schedule development and maintenance through the bid phase to project execution. You will work with Project Managers and Coordinators in project cost and schedule set-up and kick-off activities to ensure Westinghouse PMO governance and best practices. You will provide leadership and support throughout the life of the projects for re-baselining, data checks and internal compliance audits, and consolidated portfolio level reporting and monitoring. You will support process improvement programs including procedure updates, PM and PCS training, implementation of lessons learned and corrective actions.
You will report to the Manager, Project Delivery and work onsite at our Peterborough, Ontario, office.
Assist Project Managers in project set-up and kick-off to align with WEC PMO governance
Support regular project schedule updates, reporting and re-baselining throughout the project
Support schedule development during the project bid/proposal phase
Ensure project WBS alignment between SAP cost and P6 schedule and data accuracy to support project EVM
Conduct periodic project audits to ensure compliance to procedures and identify areas for improvement
Recommend and support corrective actions and lessons learned implementation to improve overall portfolio performance
Support development of procedures and standard practice for project cost-schedule integration
Generate consolidated weekly schedule lookahead reports to support alignment with cross-functional department resource planning
Prepare regular schedule compliance reports to monitor trending for missed tasks/delays
Occasional travel to company locations to interface with onsite staff
4+ years of experience in Project Controls and/or Project Management
Bachelor's degree, Business or Engineering an asset but not required
PMP is an asset but not required
Experienced in Primavera (P6) scheduling
Experienced in Earned Value Management
Project management experience
Experience developing processes and procedures
SAP or other enterprise software experience
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $86,800 to $108,500 per year.
