About the Role:

 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be an individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge related to the Reactor Mechanical Products (RMP) products. You will be part of the design and analysis of reactor vessel head assemblies, primary equipment supports, control rod drive mechanisms, canopy seal clamp assemblies, and other RMP products. You will adapt precedent making significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions and may coach and review work of lower-level professionals. 

 

You will report to the Engineering Manager of Reactor Mechanical Products in Reactor Component Engineering and be located at Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid position at the discretion of the manager requiring 2-3 days per week on-site. No relocation will be provided.  

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design engineering solutions and support fabrication/installation drawings for RMP products.
  • Author and verify design documentation including specifications, structural analyses, test plans, and design reports.
  • Provide engineering support during fabrication and installation of plant upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide emergent support for outage issues related to RMP products.
  • Design mechanical systems, equipment, and products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated system solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (with Structural Engineering experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience performing structural analyses with Ansys Workbench, Ansys APDL, GTStrudl, and hand calculations.
  • Experience with ASME B&PVC Section III Subsection NF and/or AISC Allowable Stress Design preferred.
  • Willing to travel ~5-10% of time.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain is a plus

 

Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.​
