Job Description

Provide service to hotel guest rooms which includes cleanliness, replenishing supplies, ensuring levels of standards are met, and reporting deficiencies to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay by the Hotel guest. 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Guest Service

19%         Strip and make beds

19%         Clean bathrooms

19%         Dust, clean mirrors

19%         Vacuum

19%         Replenish linens and supplies

5%           Reporting room maintenance needs, and physical inspections.

  • Communicate in written format and or electronic device per Housekeeping guidelines the status of guest rooms on assigned station to Supervisor.
  • Supply necessities on Guest Room Attendants carts.
  • Gather and retain information that will assist in job performance, guest needs and provide pertinent information to the user.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Ability to comprehend verbal English sufficiently to understand job requests from supervisor, guests, and co-workers.  Ability to understand verbal English in case of emergency situations.
  • Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
  • Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions/warnings to enable the safe application of products and processes within the Hotel.
  • Ability to complete attendant's report including simple addition skills.
  • Ability to operate a vacuum cleaner.
  • Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
