About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an LPN to join our Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

 

Position Summary:

Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy. Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.

Work Schedule:

Monday and Wednesday 8AM - 4:30PM
Thursdays 8AM - 12PM

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

    • Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.

    • BLS provider status in accordance with American Health Association (AHA) guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills. 

    • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS. 

    • Basic computer/keyboarding skills required. 

    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.

    • Safely and effectively operates the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (i.e., vision, hearing, blood pressure, etc.), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, Photocopier, and Telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
