Job Description

Summary of the Role:

As a Technician II, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Job Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and equipment performance
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance and repair tasks
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operators on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability
  • Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and best practices in equipment maintenance

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology or a related field of study.
  • Atleast 1 year of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical wiring, PLC systems, control systems, pneumatics systems, actuators, and sensors.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to equipment operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Commitment to compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
