Multi-Station Program Director & Announcer – Bancroft, ON

 

Bancroft, Ontario is located just 245 kilometres from Toronto and 220 kilometres from Ottawa in the heart of Ontario’s Cottage Country. If you’re a team player, a self-starter, and willing to learn and lead by example, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Program Director, responsible for the on-air product on multiple Vista station in the Cottage Country.
  • Be a part of the community; live, work and play here in the local market/community.
  • Host an entertaining show listeners can relate to, live and locally focused.
  • Music scheduling software knowledge a must, G-Selector would be terrific!
  • Know how to prep a great show for our audience! Assist to develop creative promotions
  • Voice track shifts as necessary
  • Be keen with social media (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube)
  • Voice commercials for other Vista properties as needed
  • Community liaison for the station
  • Host station on-location broadcasts as assigned
  • Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Passion for all things radio and the desire to lead a small team to success,
  • Minimum of 3 years On-Air Host experience
  • Knowledge with G-Selector or similar music scheduling software,
  • Strong verbaI and written communication skills
  • Post Secondary Broadcast training from an accredited institution,
  • A valid class 5 driver's license,
  • Working familiarity with Adobe Audition,
  • Demonstrated ability to use and excel with social media (Face book, Twitter, lnstagram, etc) and
  • Comprehensive knowledge or experience working in a small market is an asset
