Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, customer-focused Field Service Representative to strengthen our Customer Support presence in the Eastern Canada region. Reporting directly to the Manager of Field Support, this role serves as a key focal point for all aftermarket-related activities within an assigned geographic area, supporting Customers, Partners, and Suppliers. In collaboration with management, the successful candidate will co-develop and execute annual goals and objectives, while determining the most effective use of available tools and resources to achieve expected business and customer support outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the in-country / regional focal point for De Havilland Customer Support, representing De Havilland Aftermarket interests with assigned operators.
  • Act as the primary on-site and regional interface between Operators, De Havilland, suppliers, and local regulatory authorities to support timely resolution of operational and technical issues.
  • Review airlines practices and provides recommendations to reduce cost of aircraft ownership
  • Analyze fleet reliability data, maintenance findings, and pilot reports to identify trends and develop action plans to improve dispatch reliability and operational performance.
  • Influence and support operators in implementing De Havilland technical and operational recommendations to enhance aircraft availability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain regular weekly and monthly customer touchpoints to review open action items, monitor progress, and drive timely closure.
  • Effectively prioritize customer issues and escalate concerns within both the customer organization and De Havilland as required.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to De Havilland internal teams and management regarding key customer operational, maintenance, and reliability concerns.
  • Lead and/or support in-region De Havilland start-up teams, field parties, and customer activities related to modifications, retrofits, product improvements, and damage repairs.
  • Leverage and comply with De Havilland internal customer support, in-service, and ISE processes, including required reporting in accordance with established standards and schedules.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships across customer organizations, De Havilland internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Perform required administrative and governance activities, including weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Be available for domestic and international travel, including short-notice deployments, as operational requirements dictate.

Qualifications

  • You have a community college diploma in Aviation Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Endorsed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or equivalent
  • You hold a Dash 8 AME or A&P or B1/B2 license and remain in good standing

Skills & Experience

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of aviation experience in the operation, maintenance, modification and repair of multi-engines, commercial aircraft
  • You have 5 yrs hands-on experience on De Havilland products, primarily Dash 8 series aircraft (100,200,300 and 400 series). DHC6 experience will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and with the ability to influence effectively at all levels (internal / external stakeholders), both written and verbally, with demonstrated tact and diplomacy. 
  • Maintain legal work status and obtain / retain any required security clearances
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple time sensitive initiatives simultaneously
