Profile

We are searching for experienced Avionics Technicians to join our avionics team. Mid Canada Mod Center is one of Canada’s largest avionics sales, design, installations, and service operations. With facilities in the Toronto and Waterloo Region, we are looking for experienced technicians to join our growing team in Toronto and Breslau Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and test avionics systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals and/or other approved technical and/or regulatory documents.
  • Assist in installations of new avionics upgrades.
  • Comply with OEM service bulletins and/or other approved technical documents.
  • Understand and comply with the regulatory requirements and the requirements of the Company approved manuals.
  • Accurate completion of all paperwork in accordance with required procedures, manuals, and other documentation.
  • Employ the proper tools, equipment, methods, and techniques required to perform aircraft maintenance.
  • Accomplish all work tasks and other duties as may be assigned by the Production/Program Manager.
  • Report any unsafe or unapproved work conditions or practices to the Production/Program Manager.  

Qualifications

  • Shall hold current AME “E” Transport Canada license.
  • Proven technical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • A broad range of experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical, navigation, communication, and flight controls systems.
  • Experience on corporate aircraft, De Havilland DHC 8 series and CL415/215 aircraft is an asset.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Flexibility to work shift work and overtime as may be required.
  • Must be available to travel for occasional AOG recovery operations or for short periods of time for offsite installations.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work effectively, independently and as part of a team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
