Job DetailsJob Location: Caguas - Kennedy 139 A Jose Mercado - Caguas, PR 00725Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00 HourlyPosition Summary: Responsible for the data management needs of the program—entry of all evaluation assessment data, administration of all evaluation assessments, satisfaction surveys, demographic, needs analysis and other reports, database development (simple forms, queries, tables and reports, generation of quality processes in data integrity and output, relating results, performance improvement activities and training staff on data & evaluation tools, requirements, and results Essential Job Functions: Serve as a member of the Research and Evaluation Team. Develop data tracking systems and monitor quantitative and qualitative data collection processes. Do data entry according to program evaluation protocols. Perform basic statistical analyses under the direction of the National Director and National Coordinator of Research and Evaluation. Ensure adherence to contract requirements as related to data collection. Produce reports or assist in the development of reports as required by the National Director or National Coordinator of Research and Evaluation. Conduct literature searches via the Internet Develop and maintain consumer tracking system. Schedule and conduct follow-up assessments on all consumers enrolled in the program. Participate in meetings and attend trainings as required and requested Completes all orientation and mandated training activities, including E-Learning Courses, within required timeframes, and in accordance with the criteria established for this position. Essential Qualifications: Certifications/Licensures: NoneQualificationsEducation: Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of college-level education is required. Two (2) years of alcohol and other drug counseling experience may be substituted for one (1) year of college-level education. No more than one (1) year of college-level education may be substituted with alcohol and other drug counseling experience. Experience and Competencies: One (1) years of experience in evaluation and/or research is preferred Bilingual is preferred; Excellent communication skills; Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; Ability to work well in a team environment; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret agency and grant required documents Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Understands, communicates (both verbally and in writing), and collaborates effectively and with precision, given the time constraints of each task. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required. CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test. Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an office or residential treatment setting; and Some outdoor activities may be required. Essential Physical and Mental Demands of the Job The employee must be able to perform the following essential duties and activities with or without accommodation: Physical Demands: Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office, residential, or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.  Use of computer and telephone systems is required which includes coordination of eye and hand, and fine manipulation by the hands (typing, writing, and working with files).  Requires the ability to defend oneself and clients in physically abusive situations through the use of approved physical de-escalation techniques. Requires talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.  Talking is required to impart oral information to employees, clients, patients, and the public, and in those activities in which the employee is required to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Requires hearing: Hearing is required to receive and communicate detailed information through oral communication. Requires seeing: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at distance. This factor is required to complete paperwork for many of the employee’s essential job functions and to observe client behavior and activities in and out of the facility. The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues.  However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee. Mental Demands: Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.  Requires the ability to work and cooperate with clients, co-workers, managers, the public and employees at all levels in order to exchange ideas, information, instructions and opinions.  Requires the ability to work under stress and in emotionally charged settings. The ability to defend oneself and clients in mentally/verbally abusive situations through the use of approved mental/verbal de-escalation techniques.
