 We are seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead operations at our Winnipeg Terminal as well as oversee our Thunder Bay Terminal operations. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership to ensure safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

 About the position:

• Manage staffing requirements, working with recruitment to ensure needs are fulfilled. This will be a combination of planning and responding to requests with short turnaround times. 
• Responsible for the overall supervision, hiring, retention, training, and development of all staff within the Terminal.
• Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day safety and operation of the Terminal. Ensure compliance with safety standards, federal regulations, and company policies.
• Working closely with the dispatch team to ensure a superior level of service is provided to all internal and external customers.
• Preparing terminal huddles, performance metrics, monthly asset planner, annual budgets, analyzing monthly financial statements, and monitoring terminal equipment utilization and profitability.
• Ensure prompt responses to customer requests, including preparing necessary information for meetings and planning sessions.
• Conduct site visits to review customer service performance and validate service levels, addressing and resolving any discrepancies as needed.
• Working closely with Fleet Services to ensure that all equipment that requires repair/maintenance is made available and aligned with maintenance budget.

 What you bring: 

• Combination of both education, and hands on work experience. The successful candidate must come from a background where they have spent time in the field whether in transportation, or a like industry.   
• Several years of diverse experience with leadership responsibilities in the transportation industry required, with specific exposure to fuel and bulk commodities hauling.
• Experience with Windows-based programs; TMW experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck maintenance and repairs an asset.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty and sound business judgment.
