About this role

As a Planner - Supply, you will serve as the focal point for Inventory Supply Planning Processes for assigned business units. You will collaborate with business partners to develop short- and long-term strategies to support the inventory needs of the respective business units. You will project forward looking inventory positions and financials making recommendations and adjustments where applicable, ensuring a balance of service and working capital using Blue Yonder Fulfillment and other legacy systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommends and plans short and long-term strategies to align supply planning processes to support optimizing inventory levels
  • Assesses current inventory levels and forecast to make appropriate business decisions that minimize costs and achieve corporate working capital and service level objectives
  • Engages collaboratively with stakeholders to review purchase forecasts, proposed order recommendations, operational scenarios which contribute to a greater customer experience
  • Solidifies market and business intelligence to improve statistical forecast models for customers, verticals or products through analysis and engagement with SME’s
  • Proactively identifies and escalates supply risks, working cross-functionally to drive positive outcomes. 
  • Develops and monitors internal and external key performance indicators including forecast accuracy and vendor scorecard metrics
  • Generates integrity with the planning model through quality inputs to Supply Planning tools and support systems 
  • Maintains supply data moderate to complex reporting: consensus and customer forecasts, inventory positions, inbound outbound, shortage and excess lists
  • Supports system (SCPO) acceptance and stability by proactively managing expectations and tracking SOQ acceptance to ensure process reliability and compliance. 
  • Documents SOPs and mentors new planners; leads small-group vendor/buyer onboarding sessions. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree – Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field required; Masters Degree preferred
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations - Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Blue Yonder (JDA) or other leading Advanced Planning System (APS), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • 2 years of experience in Supply Planning or Inventory Management with relevant training or certifications
  • 1 years of experience with Supply Chain applications for Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization and/or Network Design (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9, OMP, Oracle, SAP, or other leading Advanced Planning System)
  • Project management experience in a supply planning context, preferred. 
  • Experience in analyzing complex data, identifying patterns and analysis techniques to develop conclusions and insights used for the decision-making processes
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes, such as SIOP -Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, and Materials Management
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and support skills and ability to explain complex concepts and analytics to non-technical audience and translate user requirements into actionable data.
  • Aptitude for working with quantitative and qualitative data
  • Proficient multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize and handle many projects at once with ever shifting priorities and deadlines with ability to track and manage progress
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Access, and/or PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, e.g. Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems, particularly related to the Supply Planning processes preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
