This is skilled work in the maintenance repair and installation in buildings and assigned areas using equipment as required. Carries out duties both independently and as a team member on specific assigned projects. Ensures inspections of assigned zones are carried out and deficiencies are recorded and corrected in a timely manner. Coordinates department repairs with the least amount of impact on patient care. Ensures all paperwork is completed on time and correctly.
Performs electrical, plumbing, equipment, carpentry, and fire safety maintenance tasks by inspecting and repairing equipment as needed. Checks appliances for proper operation. Checks and repairs building surfaces, fixtures, systems, and equipment.

Maintains and completes required paperwork by completing a daily log and entering all requests into Maximo. Completes routine and P.M. work orders timely and submits all work request daily tasks.
Performs housekeeping duties in assigned areas such as maintaining a clean working environment in all mechanical and electrical closets. Ensures all work areas are left clean and free of debris at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
High School Diploma General or GED General
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
VSDL - Valid State Driver's License or GADL - Georgia Driver's License
Minimum 1 year general maintenance experience Required and
Demonstrates knowledge of basic general maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and carpentry
Experience in a Healthcare environment preferred
