Job Summary:

Accountable for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements in support of a given project or capability. Committed to partnering with key roles (e.g. Cloud Solution Architects, Application teams, or other Infrastructure functions) to understand technical requirements and formulate detailed designs that align to architecture principles and standards, leverage common solutions and services, and meet the financial targets (cost and benefits) as defined by Infrastructure leadership. This role will gather requirements, assess capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate cloud recommendations and adoption strategy. Lead the development of a secure cloud platform foundation by defining standards and building Infrastructure as Code for approved cloud services following documented processes. The role will require the engineering of solutions & Implementing new technology to fulfill compliance requirements, improve productivity and increase system availability. These areas include but are not limited to infrastructure security, performance, lifecycle and data management. Broad knowledge of all different aspects of the IT technical landscape as well as in depth experience in the Azure cloud.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Work with all levels of management and other departments to assist them in developing solutions to meet business requirements using advanced technology solutions. * Assists in engineering the target architecture at a given point in the future that is necessary to support the business mission and strategy of the organization Complete personnel assigned yearly reviews. * Assisting in owning upgrades and service request issues to ensure they are resolved, and respective parties are updated Assists in developing workload modeling and creating compelling business cases for technology services * Hands on work building Azure services and solutions. Providing in-line solutions that follow best practices and security guidelines Works with team members to develop goals and objectives. * Provide data for formal presentations to Senior Management on the targeted strategy * Works with IT Managers to prepare detailed implementation plans * Prepare technical assessments data to teams for review and planning Assists in developing on the technology strategy and vision to support key business processes and needs by determining the optimal IT architecture, level of investment in tools and technologies * Develop strategy for optimizing cloud workloads for cost and performance SLAs), updating client of status and maintaining work schedules and appointments with the user. * Develops server, storage, and infrastructure standards. * Develops / maintains the documentation for the technology standards that define what technologies and products are approved to be used within the organization . * Develop tooling concepts for admins and application support groups. * Works closely with vendors to obtain detailed proposals and quotations Actively support IS policies, procedures and initiatives. * Prepares and revises policies and procedures, as needed, for areas of responsibility. * Insures that the team complies with all policies and procedures. * Maintain system standards following HIPAA Security Guidelines and implement policy/procedures and or technologies to adhere to mandated requirements. Enhance professional growth and development, for self and others through education programs, workshops or other educational opportunities that may be presented. Keep abreast of current events. * Assists in the creation of monthly news article events/updates to keep current information available to the WellStar user community with helpful hints. * Demonstrates the ability to learn and improve troubleshooting skills by actively participating in education programs. * Creates training documentation that is user friendly, detailed and precise. * Responsible for updating and training the technical information systems staff. Performs additional duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Computer engineering or related field required.

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure services, deployment and management of multiple virtual environments, networking, database, storage, virtualization, DR, HA, operations, and monitoring Required and Minimum 2 years in a cloud computing platform (Azure / AWS) Required

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Management & administration of Cloud Platforms, Azure or AWS as well as comprehensive knowledge in hybrid virtual environments and the architecture, design, support, and implementation of them. Management & administration of Windows and Linux servers and a overall solid foundation of general IT Infrastructure skill sand knowledge that transcends across cloud, servers, storage, network, endpoint, collaboration, and databases.
