Job Summary:

The Audio-Visual Technician interfaces various types of audio-visual, communication and presentation technology, and ensures that all audio-visual requirements requested by customers are met. The AV Technician provides audio-visual support to presenters regarding all aspects of presentations; provides technical support for audio, video and teleconferences.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Installs, monitors and maintains sound and video equipment and the network that supports the equipment. Records all asset numbers and serial numbers for inventory reporting. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of AV equipment contracts. Commissions and troubleshoots installations. Documents and reports hardware failures. Manages Break/Fix requests as needed. Acts as a consultant on new AV purchases for the system. Conducts research on and makes recommendations for AV products in support of procurement and development efforts. Evaluates audio-visual equipment for replacement or repair. Communicates with management team throughout the day, as it relates to assignments. Performs project reporting and updating. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Trade School Diploma/Degree Information Technology or Associates Information Technology-Preferred

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Required Minimum Experience:

    additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement. Required and Minimum 1 year asset management Required or Minimum 3 years asset management, technology distribution Preferred

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing Establish and maintain effective customer-focused working relationships with department staff, customers, vendors and others encountered in the course of work Microsoft Excel Familiar with ServiceNow preferred
