Full Time: 36 Hours/Week

Hours:  Monday - Friday: Varying (4) 9- Hour Day/Evening Shifts.  Start times as early as 5:15am and as late as 8:30pm. 

Occasional Weekend On-Call Required 

Weekend Differential Pay Eligible

 

Department Summary

Short Stay Unit (SSU) has 26 bays where patients are prepped prior to their procedure and is also used to recover patients after a minor procedure.

General Summary

Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.

WellSpan York Hospital

WellSpan York Hospital in embarking on a significant five-year project.  The centerpiece will be a new, eight-story surgical and critical care tower, which will dramatically expand the hospital’s intensive care unit as well as develop new state of-the-art surgical suites, making it one of the top 10 largest hospitals in Pennsylvania with approximately 600 beds.
