7pm-7am with every 3rd weekend & holiday rotation
Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is 10-bed intensive care unit (ICU) that provides care to critically ill cardiac medical and post-surgical cardiac patients 18 years and older. Procedures and care provided include but are not limited to post-operative patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring/ventilator support, hypothermic care, arrhythmia monitoring and intervention, ECMO, Invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, all components of advanced cardiac life support, pacemaker/ICD management, IABP management, CRRT utilization, and Impella
General Summary
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
