About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to support banker facing digital platforms and our branch customer authentication as part of Consumer Technology. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of customer and employees' experiences at one of the world's leading financial institutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

    Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of application development background

  • 5+ years of Spring with Java; architect and engineering deep knowledge or experience

  • 3+ years React JS

  • 3+ years micro front end development

  • ​3+ years Cloud experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Automation using Selenium/Playwright

  • Splunk

  • DevOps Tools like Harness

  • Experience in designing and building technical solutions with strategic thinking and influencing both architecture direction and engineering best practices

  • Experience architecting scalable, high availability, secure and high- quality technology solutions for digital platforms

  • Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architecture guardrails and be a technical escalation for complex issues

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

  • Ability to work in global delivery environment and in a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in office

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$159,000.00 - $254,000.00
