About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics consultant to join the Wells Fargo Business Credit Risk - Loss Forecast, Analytics and Collections (LFAC) team.

The LFAC team is responsible for delivering loss forecasts, conducting in-depth portfolio analysis into credit quality, and developing collection strategies to support Wells Fargo Business.  This role will serve as the lead for team’s Loss Forecast function, which includes producing forecasts for business performance, reserve calculations, and stress-testing activities.  The role will be responsible for partnering with key Corporate Credit, WF Business, and Finance stakeholders to ensure adequacy and/or accuracy of loss forecasts for Wells Fargo Business. 


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling for WF Business Loss Forecasts, representing the business in cross functional, broad impacting responsibilities including allowance and stress testing, acting as a key participant in the data aggregation, monitoring, and data submission requirements
  • Review and analyze complex programing models, extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling analysis specific to businesses supported
  • Manage requirements, development and implementation of changes to loss forecast processes the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models, portfolio quality and customer requests to support businesses and product lines
  • Make decisions in complex product credit strategies, data modeling, and credit risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve sustainable risk analysis and accurate forecasts, as well as and common modeling goals
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Loss Forecast (Business, Allowance and CCAR/Stress Testing)
  • Lead others in understanding, modifying and deploying complex SAS code in an analytical production environment with disciplined change management and controls
  • Small Business credit risk management experience
