About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Allocations Senior Business Aligned Finance Analyst to join the Enterprise Functions Finance team. This highly visible individual contributor role is responsible for delivering accurate, insightful, and well‑controlled financial reporting in support of corporate deliverables, business leaders, and strategic partners. You will play a key role in analyzing expense allocations, surfacing meaningful insights, and supporting leadership in understanding the drivers behind financial results.

Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse business and finance teams. You will help shape a culture of innovation, consultation, and continuous improvement.

Enterprise Finance, the office of the CFO, leads financial planning and analysis, balance sheet management (capital, liquidity, funding, investments), accounting and controls, and corporate M&A. The team partners across the company to understand the value chain of our products and services, enabling strong financial performance and continuous operational improvement.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Build, automate, and enhance monthly allocation reporting for finance leaders, ensuring high-quality insights and robust data reconciliation.
  • Deliver reporting that meets brand, consistency, and internal control standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert by conducting deep financial analysis and resolving complex issues.
  • Translate findings and trends into clear, actionable insights for business partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) to identify risks, opportunities, and cost‑efficiency levers.
  • Understand allocation drivers and methodologies to ensure accurate allocations across lines of business and legal entities.
  • Drive process improvement through simplification, standardization, automation, and improved data flows.
  • Document procedures to support strong internal controls and repeatable processes across teams.



Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills in Essbase, Excel, and PowerPoint, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formula tracing, and macros.
  • Proficiency with visualization/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with financial close, management reporting, business review materials, and allocations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; CA/CFA/MBA preferred.
  • Ability to perform complex financial analysis, build models, synthesize conclusions, and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience preparing executive-ready presentations and financial summaries.
  • Strong analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, curiosity, and ability to independently identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Ability to assess allocation processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-moving priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Exhibits sound judgment, accountability, and leadership within prior roles.
  • Proven ability to apply rigorous quality checks, maintain strong controls, and ensure error‑free deliverables.
