About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Coverage Technology Solution Architecture team team within Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) to be a key contributor to our technology transformation program. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of microservices framework using domain driven design, event driven architecture and SOLID principles. You will also assist in rebuilding services, designing and implementing new business solutions, providing application deployment guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, cloud platform, in-house/vendor applications and existing/new designs.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for participating in the creation and implementation of a technology framework and providing strong technical expertise to application development teams and senior technology management

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Knowledge and experience applying key technology advancements such as Cloud & Big Data, Graph Technology, and/or AI/Machine Learning

  • Be responsible for being a technical expert, innovator, and strategic thought leader for technology engineering discipline such as applications, micro-services, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies

  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

  • Develop standards and best practices for engineering complex, large-scale technology solutions to address highly complex and typically cross-organizational issues in the Architecture and Transformation area, while maintaining broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and partnering with other key experts.

  • Provide expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advises and mentors others with the goal of knowledge transfer.

  • Be the escalation point for teams facing extremely complex technical challenges

  • Provide executive level updates for complex platform solutions

  • Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization

  • Lead team technically, provide coaching and development, drive architecture/design reviews focused on business requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 7+ years of Core Java experience with Java open-source stack & frameworks, Spring, Spring boot

  • 5+ years of experience working with NoSQL Database such as MongoDB and RDBMS as well with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL

  • 3+ years of microservices development, domain driven design and API’s design

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, enterprise pipelines based on Gradle, Maven and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, Github, etc.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services industry

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns, OOP and SOA

  • Experience using CQRS framework like Axon, Akka, Cqrslite etc.

  • Experience with integration and building API’s in REST using, Camel, Fuse etc.

  • Experience in working with BPM or Workflow such as IBM BPM, jBPM, Activiti, Camunda, ODM, Drools, jRules etc.

  • Experience in working utilizing domain driven design, event driven architecture and SOLID principles

  • Experience in messaging technologies: Kafka, IBM MQ, Active MQ

  • Experience with Enterprise Security Infrastructure (Ping, OKTA etc.)

  • Must be able to work on-site at one of the listed locations

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
