In this role, you will:

Primary responsibilities include conducting the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base. Critical to the role will be communicating research findings to both internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue. The Junior Analyst will build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others. 

The Junior Analyst will: 

  • Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Autos sector and a strong understanding of the companies within the sector
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
  • Create and update financial models and databases
  • Author, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes
  • Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
  • Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents
  • Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Securities Investment research, financial services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA or higher
  • Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Autos.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Up to 10% travel
  • Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$104,000.00 - $168,000.00
