Who Are You?
Reporting to the Machine Shop Foreman you will support manufacturing process by following work orders and assisting with various manual duties.
What you will do:
- Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
- Load and unload metal parts from fixtures and moves parts using hand truck or dolly
- Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret work orders
- Follow directions given on work orders and by co-workers
- Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices
- Operate Fork Lifts, jib and overhead cranes
- Perform other duties as required
Sound Familiar?
- Completion of grade 10
- Crane & Rigging experience or certification an asset
- Ability to operate Fork Lift an asset, training may be provided
- General knowledge of basic tools and equipment
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent safety record

Due to safety considerations and the physically demanding nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment medical evaluation upon hiring. Passing the Level 1 fitness test on your first attempt is a bona fide occupational requirement (BFOR).
